Brave Maia, a 14 year old from Surrey was diagnosed with ALL (Leukemia) in February, 2025.
Her journey so far has not been easy, Maia has struggled with the effects of the treatment and the changes she has experienced. Maia’s request was to have a day at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. So the team here at Holly’s Heroes are busy putting together a very special experience for a very special young lady.
Maia’s sassiness and strong willed spirit has won over the hearts of Holly’s Heroes, she very much reminds us of a special little lady.
Maia’s hero Mum has said ‘A trip like this will truly lift her spirits, a much needed distraction from everything Leukemia related’
A beautiful update on Maia’s much-needed break from treatment, a magical day at Winter Wonderland, something she had always dreamed of experiencing. Seeing her smile, laugh and soak in every moment is exactly why Holly’s Heroes exists.
Here are some words from Maia herself, which touched our hearts deeply:
💛 From Maia:
“I just want to say thank you so much to Emma and the team at Holly’s Heroes. I feel so grateful to have had such an incredible experience at a place I’ve always wanted to go. Emma has been kind, supportive and helpful-going above and beyond for me and other children like me. Hollys heroes really shines the light at all the good in the world and I think that’s very special”

And her mum shared this beautiful reflection:
💛 From Maia’s mum:
“Maia was so very excited when she found out she was having a day at winter wonderland. From the moment we arrived at Hyde Park she was buzzing with what to ride or eat first. Even when she started to tire her enthusiasm didn’t fade and she had a wonderful, memorable day that she wouldn’t have experienced if it hadn’t been for Holly’s Heroes. So much of the last nine months have been nothing but treatment and this day out truly gave her a break from her new normal. Thank you so very much to everyone who made it possible.”
These moments matter.
These smiles matter.
And this is what your support helps create for children facing the toughest battles.
