A treat for beautiful Robyn

Meet Robyn

Today we’re sharing Robyn’s story, in her mum Claire’s own words.

Stories like Robyn’s remind us why moments of joy, laughter and togetherness matter so deeply during childhood cancer journeys.

“Our brave and beautiful 7-year-old daughter Robyn is currently living with an inoperable brain tumour. While the tumour is classified as low grade and slow growing, it causes Robyn to experience multiple unpredictable seizures every day, affecting her daily life.

After careful consideration, our oncology team at The Royal Marsden in Sutton has decided that now is the time to begin chemotherapy. The goal is to stabilise the tumour and halt its growth. Robyn’s tumour type is rare, and there is very limited data on how effective chemotherapy will be — but we have everything crossed for a successful result.

Robyn is about to embark on an intense 86-week treatment journey, supported by an incredible team of specialists. We are so proud of her strength and her spirit.

Appointments and hospital stays have been pretty relentless since we started the chemo journey. Time as a family has become even more precious and being able to do something together outside of anything treatment related will really help us find the fun in the more trickier moments”

At Holly’s Heroes, we believe every child deserves moments that are about joy, not treatment. We’re so honoured to have arranged a special family trip for Robyn and her family to see Paddington The Musical, a chance to laugh together, make memories and simply be a family.

We’ll be sharing an update after their visit and we’re sending Robyn and her family all our love as she continues her brave journey.
