12 Riders, One Incredible Challenge, £3,444 Raised for Holly’s Heroes
Twelve determined cyclists took on the iconic London to Brighton bike ride and crossed the finish line with a remarkable achievement, raising an incredible £3,444 for Holly’s Heroes.
The challenge saw the team pedal more than 50 miles from the heart of London to the Brighton seafront, tackling demanding climbs, unpredictable weather, and tired legs along the way. However, every mile ridden was driven by a shared purpose: helping Holly’s Heroes continue its mission of supporting children and families affected by cancer.
The riders, made up of friends, family members and supporters of the charity, demonstrated outstanding commitment and teamwork throughout the journey. Months of training, fundraising activities and generous donations from sponsors culminated in a fantastic day that showcased the power of community spirit.
The £3,444 raised will help Holly’s Heroes continue to provide vital support to children undergoing cancer treatment and their families, helping to fund special experiences, practical assistance and much-needed moments of joy during incredibly difficult times.
Each rider had their own reason for taking part, but together they shared a common goal: making a difference in memory of Holly and helping other families facing challenges similar to those experienced by Holly’s family.
Emma from Holly’s Heroes said:
“We are incredibly proud of all 12 riders who took on this challenge. Cycling from London to Brighton is no small feat, and to raise £3,444 in the process is simply amazing. Every pound raised will help us continue supporting children and families affected by cancer. We are so grateful to everyone who took part, donated, cheered from the sidelines and helped make this event such a success.”
The charity would also like to thank everyone who sponsored the team and offered encouragement throughout the challenge. Their generosity and support played a huge part in making the fundraising effort such a success.
As the riders celebrated at the Brighton finish line, they could look back with pride knowing that their achievement was about far more than completing a cycling challenge. It was about coming together, remembering Holly, and helping create brighter days for children and families who need support the most.
Congratulations to all 12 riders on an outstanding achievement and thank you for raising £3,444 for Holly’s Heroes.
