Dream Come True for Isabella

There are times when we don’t need to say anything.. Little Isabella’s Mum tells her story.

“Isabella was diagnosed with leukaemia ALL on January 12 this year. Our usually fit and healthy, active sassy little seven-year-old‘s life was changed overnight and so was ours. We had to fight three doctors in A&E just to be taken seriously over her migraines which turned out to be cancer. Since then Isabella has had intensive rounds of chemotherapy to eliminate the council from her blood. The chemotherapy has crippled her little body and left her feeling very poorly and often in pain. She’s now unable to go to school because her immune system is so low and she’s more susceptible to picking up infection.  As a family, have to isolate a lot to keep her safe and she spends more days in hospital than she does in her own home.

She is the bravest little thing and even throughout this journey, she has showed great courage and kindness to others. She raised £11,000 for the hospital  that is treating her and she’s always the 1st to help new children coming in for treatment.

Emma From Hollys Heroes reached out to us and asked if we wanted to give Isabella an experience look forward to. I told Emma that her biggest wish was to sleep with the tigers at Port lympne and she said leave it with me. Later, she got in touch and told her that Isabella‘s wish had been granted! I cannot express enough how big the smile on Isabella’s  face was when we told her and she is so excited to be going to have a sleepover with the Tigers next year when her treatment eases up a bit. I cannot thank Emma enough for giving my girl the best dream to look forward to. she has told anyone who will listen about her wish being granted and enjoys sharing the news with all of her oncology team.

Thank you so much Holly’s Heroes for making this happen!”
