Meet Beautiful Evie Lily
She was in The Royal Marsden being treated at the same time as Holly and despite being blasted with chemo, she was known for her escape skills.
Ironically Evie Lily has asked us to send her to see Matilda The Musical, a show that Holly loved and performed at stage school.
Here is her brave Mum, telling us her story…
“In August of 23 Evie Lily started being ill with chest infection, tonsillitis went to see our gp and he sent her to hospital, this was then October. From our local hospital we where transported to the royal Marsden in Sutton where Evie Lily was diagnosed with AML. After 8 days of chemo Evie contracted sepsis and was rushed to St George’s in an ambulance and put in intensive care where we stayed for 5 weeks. In December we went back to the royal Marsden to be told her first treatment didn’t work, the leukaemia had gone from 80% to 95%, she started a new chemo schedule and her 3 brothers were rushed up to be tested for stem transplant. A week before Christmas we was told the second treatment didn’t work, and then was told she had APML which is extremely rare, and no child who has Down syndrome has had it ever on record in the world. After 8 months of treatment, 3 chemos which was very intense, made her very poorly, we finally got the good news that she had gone into remission in September and she rang the bell with all her family and friends around her. This evil disease has affect her mentally, emotionally and physically, as well as her close family, and we as a family are extremely proud of how well she has coped with everything she has gone through”
Evie Lily, your strength is beyond words.
We cannot wait to send you to see Matilda The Musical. A special moment, full of joy, just for you and your family
